Creating a Custom Branded Gin for Rand Rescue

When Rand Rescue approached SIP Distilling to create a custom branded spirit, they wanted something that would represent their brand while also creating a memorable gift for clients, staff and events.

The brief went beyond simply adding a company logo to a bottle.

Together, we created a bespoke branded gin inspired by Rand Rescue’s South African identity, combining custom label design, distinctive flavour and gold shimmer with SIP Distilling’s award-winning dry gin.

The result was a premium corporate gift that was unmistakably Rand Rescue.

The Brief

Rand Rescue wanted a custom branded gin they could use across several areas of their business, including:

Their branding has strong South African connections, so it was important that the finished bottle reflected that identity while still feeling premium and suitable for corporate gifting.

Creating the Rand Rescue Bottle Design

The first step was developing a custom label around the Rand Rescue logo and brand identity.

Drawing inspiration from the distinctive green and gold colours associated with South Africa, we created a label design that incorporated Rand Rescue’s branding while complementing the premium presentation of the bottle.

The aim was to create something that didn’t simply look like a promotional product.

We wanted it to feel like a genuine premium spirit that happened to belong exclusively to Rand Rescue.

An Award-Winning Dry Gin with a South African Twist

Rand Rescue selected our award-winning dry gin as the foundation for their custom spirit.

Rather than stopping there, we introduced a flavour with an unmistakable connection to South Africa: rooibos.

The botanical character of our dry gin was complemented by the distinctive character of rooibos, creating a bespoke expression specifically for the Rand Rescue project.

To complete the transformation, gold shimmer dust was added to the gin, giving the spirit a striking golden shimmer when the bottle is moved or poured.

The combination of our award-winning gin, South African-inspired rooibos and gold shimmer created a spirit that connected the product directly to Rand Rescue’s identity.
