A Custom Branded Gin Created for a Broadway Cast

When a cast member playing Romeo in & Juliet approached SIP Distilling, the brief was wonderfully different: create a memorable keepsake for members of the show’s cast.

The idea started with the name Romeo’s Love Poison, a playful reference to the character of Romeo and the themes of the production.

From there, SIP Distilling transformed the concept into a custom 200ml spirit bottle, combining theatrical-inspired label design with our Purple Shimmer Gin to create a keepsake designed especially for the occasion.

The Brief

The client wanted to create individual 200ml custom branded gin bottles as keepsakes for members of the cast.

Rather than creating a conventional gift, the bottles needed to feel connected to the production, fun, memorable and personal.

The concept was:

Romeo’s Love Poison

With the idea established, our job was to bring it to life through the bottle, label and spirit.

Creating the Romeo’s Love Poison Label

The custom label was designed to complement the energetic, colourful and theatrical feel of the occasion while incorporating the Romeo’s Love Poison name.

The smaller 200ml bottle format made the finished product ideal as an individual keepsake, while the custom label transformed each bottle into something created specifically for the cast.

It was more than a miniature bottle of gin. It became a memento connected to a shared experience.

Choosing Purple Shimmer Gin

For the spirit itself, the client chose SIP Distilling’s Purple Shimmer Gin exactly as we make it.

With its distinctive purple colour and mesmerising shimmer, it was a natural match for the playful and theatrical Romeo’s Love Poison concept.

Our Purple Shimmer Gin combines botanical character with a striking visual shimmer that comes alive when the bottle is moved, making the spirit itself part of the presentation.

No custom flavour development was required for this project. Instead, we took an existing SIP Distilling spirit and completely transformed its presentation for the occasion.

Small Bottles, Big Personality

This project is a great example of how custom branded spirits don’t always need to be full-sized bottles.

The 200ml format created a compact, personalised keepsake that members of the cast could take away with them.

Custom miniature spirit bottles can be particularly effective for:

• Cast and crew gifts
• Event keepsakes
• Weddings
• Milestone celebrations
• Staff gifts
• Launch events
• Corporate events
• VIP gifts
• Special occasions

By combining a custom label with a carefully selected spirit, even a small bottle can become something genuinely memorable.
